I've lived in the UK for 10 years, but have got an oppertunity to return to my homeland Denmark to study. I have some outstanding debt (credit card/debit card and still got 2 1/2 years off my loan to pay off). I don't know how to pay this off whilst living and studying in Denmark. Is bankrupty for me or what would you suggest? Would the bad credit rating follow me to Denmark?

BR is an option depending upon whether you want to clear your debts quickly or pay them off. You may be able to enter into a Debt Management Plan (DMP) where you pay a small amount of the debt each month until it is completely paid off but this would depend upon your monthly income when in Denmark.

When you declare BR you are BR worldwide however the likely hood of a Danish credit institute checking into your UK credit history is pretty slim.
