I have a tax credit debt that was from a joint claim. When you end the joint claim and claim singularly they cannot take the debt owed from tax credit payments, the debt is negotiated with inland revenue and i am currently paying £70 a month to them.
Its possible that i will be ending my single claim soon and will have a joint claim but i may be going bankrupt. Will the tax debt be wriiten off?

If the debt was from a joint claim, then if you go br your ex partner would have to pay.
