hi, i need a little help. I am in the process of going bankrupt. the short story of how i got here is that my ex husband goined the police, turned into a diff person, we split, we had lots of debt, he took a trust deed and went on his was leaving me 1 of the 2 cars we owned for me and my daughter to use (it was registered in his name and paid outrite) I got the car ownership transferred into my dads name, the ex signed it over some time last year. Now im in the process of going bankrupt and ive received a letter from the trustee for his trust deed asking for the car. Can I tell them i have nothing to do with it as it was once in my exs name and now in my dads name??? any help would be very much appreciated as this is all I have to my name and i NEED it as i had to move away from all my family.
