This forum has been magnificent and helped me throughout the process, but today I have officially been discharged!!

My story basically involved a lavish lifestyle and £170k of debt as a result, stupid really. Anyway, tried an IVA which was paying 40p in the £ back to creditors which was rejected as it was deemed that I could and should pay more, an increased offer of 45p in the £ was also rejected. I lost my £90k job as a result of bankruptcy so basically haven't worked for a year, so no IPA/IPO, and no BRU/BRO which was another matter altogether as they tried to give me one but being a lawyer fought it with zest and they finally backed down. Can now start to rebuild my life, it was such an eye opening year as went from a very lavish lifestyle to nothing, did not claim benefits as ego didn't let me!! Anyway, going to get back on track and work very hard, and WILL pay to charity over the next 3-5 years the equivalent amount of money I owed to charity so can hold head up high when finally meet my maker without any guilt. Thanks to everyone who post on this forum.
