Hi,

Just an update from my previous posts...hubby and i went BR 20/08/10 and had our OR telephone interview today. I was terrified and hardly slept at all the last few nights. But, he was really nice, professional and thorough but really pleasant. And at the end of the interview he told me that no IPA would be required at this time because we didn't have enough disposable income...relief!!

A big worry was re my car, I need it for work and although it is worth about £8500, I still owe £8,400 via HP on it. The OR was fine with me keeping it but did say that the finance co in 99.9% of cases take the car back. And so i spent a couple of hours worrying about how i'm going to get another car for work. Did the decent thing and rang the finance company... their response?..."that's fine, just keep up the repayments, we have no interest in seizing the vehicle as long as you don't fall behind with the repayments". SO MORE relief!!

If you are at the start of this BR journey...I'm not saying its been easy, far from it but the sense of relief we feel now is immense and so worth it!! Maybe, just maybe, I will sleep well tonight!

We still have some big decisions to make re the house and the £45k negative equity but at least we now have some breathing space and time to make those decisions.

Thanks again to everyone who has helped us on here, you may not even know you helped as we have done much 'lurking research'! But really without this forum we could not have got through this.

You are all amazing!!!

GROUP HUG!!!
