I have completed my SOA's and put nil for money in bank. However i will actually have about £10k to put into my estate but this will be in my wifes account as i am not using my bank right now. Firstly where do i show this on my SOA's and secondly as it is my wifes account will the OR want access to her statements etc?

Also as i have been using my wifes account for the last couple of months and the OR i guess will want to see 12 months statements, if i was to only provide July 2007 to April 2008 will this be a problem??

Thanks

Hi Hammy,

The OR will not want to see your wife's bank statements.

Is the £10k your money or your wife’s?

If this is yours you can enter this as cash in hand in the assets section and then inform of its location when you speak to the trustee.

Hi Hammy,

I wouldn't worry the OR can obtain these direct from the bank if they feel the need, however I think 9 will be more than sufficient.

Hi Hammy - I didn't have one statement to give the OR as I have had my wages paid into my husbands account for the last two years.
I haven't been asked for statements to prove this and only had to provide pay slips for proof of income.
Hope this helps
