Morning Lyn - welcome to the forum.
Which company is it? When is your husbands court date? What sort of payment have you already offered them?
One of the BR assist experts will be online soon and may need these extra details to advise you.
Try not to panic - you will get some good advice from them soon.

Hi Lyn,

As Vicki has said could you post some further information?

Who is the creditor?
what offers have been made?
has you husband any other unsecured debts?
Do you own a property if so what is the value of the property and the amounts on mortgage or secured against the property?

If you have assets such as property with equity, you really need to avoid the Bankruptcy as this could become a very expensive and unpleasant experience for you.

Kind Regards,
