My husband and I declared ourselves bankrupt earlier this yr. We are due to released in Jan 2011. We don't pay anything towards our bankruptcy at the moment as my husband only earns enough to keep utilities and food paid for but once we are released I want to return to work to try to get back on our feet. Will we then be required to pay from any salary I earn towards our bankruptcy (it hardly seems worth working if theywill take the money.

If your income changes before you are discharged then you will need to inform the OR. If your DI (Disposable Income) is more than £99 then you will need to pay an IPA for 36 months.

If you get the job after you are discharged then you can keep all of the money and don't need to inform the OR about any income changes.
