Hi went BR in 09 and thought it was all over bet received a letter fri from county court with 10 days to pay 6k or take the cars ( only bangers that arent worth much) we are both on minimal paid jobs and have had no previous corespondance about the court dates, case, trial ext ext we had a pub and when we went no mail was forewarded thanks

Hi there

can you please confirm whether or not the debt in question, was outstanding as at the time you went bankrupt? If so, get in touch with the court (or solicitor, who ever sent you the letter) and let them know the bankruptcy details, I would also photocopy the letter, and send into your OR's office with a covering letter stating your court reference etc and ask them to deal with it.

If however, the debt has been incurred post bankruptcy then you are liable for the debt.

Whatever the case it is important that you deal with it asap.
