Hi all. This is not actually to do with bankruptcy but found site so helpful when we did go bankrupt thst thought someone might be able to help. I have just started my maternity leave from work and i was wondering if anyone knew whehter you have to pay tax and national insurance contributions out of Statutory maternity pay? I am currently bankrupt but dont pay anything as disposable income not high enough
, so my tax code is just the normal. Thanks in advance if snyone can help.

If your maternity pay is high enough to put you in the tax bracket, then yes you do pay tax on it.
