Hi
Just wanted some general advice, my financies are in a mess due to a breakdown in 2006 i then had two buisinesses most of which were funded by credit mostly unsecured i was extremely ill and after many very low points and loosing 40% of my body wieght through night sweats i was at times suicidal and felt that my life had all but ended so i left to stay with a relative in florida, i stayed 18mounths and then went to spain where i lived for 21/2 years unfortunatly i lost my job in spain and now ive returned to the uk thankfully much fitter, i realise that my actions will not go down well when things catch up to me but at the time i felt it was the only way i was going to survive, now im back i want to sort things out fortunatly i have a fairly well paying job(SELF EMPLOYED) and ofcoarse im more than willing to settle my debts, ive had no contact with banks ,credit ect since since 0ctober 2006, i also a fairly large sum to pay the inland revenue, in my eyes and from what ive read on the internet the tax should be my first point of call can you give me some advice as to what my fist steps to sorting out my life should be.

Hi Wayne, welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear you've had such a bad time but I'm glad you're fitter, that's the most important thing.

I advise you call one of the experts on here or visit the CAB as you need to go through all of your options and it may be good for you to chat about it.

Bankruptcy may be the best option, but there may be other options too.
