I already have a basic bank account (just a cashcard), will i have to close it and open another one if i become bankrupt?, many thanks, joe90

Hi Joe90,

It is common practice that your accounts are frozen by the banks on publication of your BR in the London Gazette and the Stubbs Gazette. If the OR has no interest in the account, they will write to the bank to get the account unfrozen. Due to the large workload the Insolvency Service has at present, that could take a bit of time. Therefore, I would suggest you open a new account after your BR.
