 CAB says wait don't know what to do. Help

me again been to cab and got my br forms at moment get child support and tax credit this will end in sept 2011 cab tells me to wait to go br then dont know what to do help

i also have a pay as you view tv but ive nearly paid for it will i be able to keep this

Hi Welshaly

Again, unfortunately, I do not believe that you have been given good advice by CAB. If you are having financial problems noow, they will be worse in 10 months.

The main thing that has to be borne in mind is whether you have and disposable income. This is money that you have left at the end of the month once all your bills have been paid. If you do not have any, it does not matter whether you make yourself bankrupt now.

The slight problem with your "pay to view" TV is that it dooes not belong to you until paid for and therefore could be repossessed in a bankruptcy scenario. However the finance company would have to decide whether it was financially viable to come and take the TV.
