Hi all, I was discharged 9th Dec 2010, can you tell me if I will receive a certificate of discharge automatically at some point, or do I need to write to the OR requesting it? Thanks in advance.

Hi, congratulations on your discharge.

No, you won't get one, and they cost about £60 if you request it so I advise you print off your entry on the insolvency register, it will stay on there for 3 months after discharge date.

Hi diggin deeper

to obtain a certificate of discharge will cost you £60 from a court

However if you do not want to spend the money most of my creditors accepted a printed copy of the insolvency.gov web site which shows my BR discharge.

it only stays on web site for 3 months after discharge

hi

the or usually sends a letter that he/she has concluded in your case and that it is now closed this may be enough depending on what you need the certiicate for

best of luck

I think that depends on whether you get ED or not. I didn't and didn't get anything from the OR as they don't write to automatic discharge cases.
