I keep intrducing friends & rellies to B & M, nobody I know ever used them.
I would reccomend them for a good cheap shop.

Now where can I get a copy of that DVD?!?!

I have to say I'm jealous, I love Duran Duran. I nearly saw them live a few years ago but I was so skint I sold the tickets. I wish I'd gone now.

The one person I'd love to see live is Bruce Springsteen, my favourite singer. My favourite band is the Saw Doctors, who I've seen loads of times. We're thinking of having one of their songs for the first dance at the wedding.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 - it's over at last!

Now The Boss, yeah a definate legend. My cousin worshipped him. He died young & we had Springsteen playing through his funeral, so when I hear Bruce it brings back fantastic memories of my cousin

Now Crazee, I don't think you have ANY time for this partying lark, You have twins with a Birthday coming up AND you're moving!!!!!!

I know.... Have a 'Packing' Party!!!

I used to love Duran Duran as well - the 80's and 90's were my music.

Must admit now though that I am an aging rock chick and my favourite station at work is Planet Rock and my two favourite groups are Muse and Foo Fighters. I'm actually getting into Kings of Leon now as well and I also love the blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa - not very well known in the mainstream I don't think.

Buckle your seat belt Dorothy, 'cos Kansas is going bye bye.

Oh Kal Im an old rock chick too. Went to the darkside when I reached my 30's, saddo that I am. I love Bullet for my Valentine, linkin park, paparoach, killswitch. Saw FF in 1996 at Manchester, they were superb, love em. Nothing like a bit of screaming during this BR is there. Oh gosh we saw Iron maiden and Whitesnake a few years back too. They might be old but they still have it. Cant fault Muse, they are such a great band arent they. Think as I go down this BR journey the music I listen to will get louder and darker and screamier lol. Then again, when 80's stuff comes on - Im straight back there in the 80's at my school disco in my ra ra skirt, leggins and batwing top. What a look.

I love the Foo Fighters and have seen them live twice (I was worried that I may become an obsessive 'fan') I would have seen them 3 times but I had to sell my tickets as I couldn't afford to get there which was very sad. I'd also recommend some of the early rock stuff with Black Sabbath (seen live), Motorhead (seen live twice also), Iron and Metallica.
Also love the 80's stuff grew up as a teenager with.
Maybe I should listen to some of this stuff again to get me in the mood for my BR Court Appearance next Wednesday morning!!!

Oh yes Widge Love BS and Motorhead too. Metallica, I like but really have to be in the mood. Im listening to 30 seconds to mars at the moment. Saw them last year - brilliant band and Jared Letto is sooooooooo talented. How terrible you had to sell your FF tickets :( - Theres nothing like seeing live bands is there? Hubby is in a metal band so really love seeing them..although some of the gigs are a bit hair raising...the crowd that is.

Oh widge next wednesday eh?

I love Metallica, Iron Maiden and Sabbath as well. Big Led Zeppelin fan and don't mind a bit of Whitesnake either. I've just become a fan of Shinedown as well.

Hi all, at work at the moment, on a break and skimming through the posts I have missed over the last couple of days, working nights this week so really looking forward to the weekend.
Had to reply to this thread and all the talk of Duran Duran as I recently discovered my 'butter wouldn't melt' daughter (who is now in her 30's) apparently bunked off school once to go to meet Duran Duran at the airport. To say I was shocked was an understatement, and I can hardly ground her now can I !
Have a good weekend everyone, I will be catching up on housework and preparing myself for my telephone OR interview on Monday. But then I am not back to work until the next Friday night so thats good.

Gosh I have some fab friends...as my Mother would say.."I am truly blessed"

I want to try and watch the Rugby this weekend too, looks like a good few games.

Apparently......

Biffy Clyro won best live band at the NME awards last night beating Muse, Foals, Kasabian and Arcade Fire....

Now I'm not into many of these but I do like a bit of Biffy!

Seems they are headlining at Wakestock this year!

Muse did win the best band though for the second year running and Dave Grohl won an award for 'God like Genius' which I totally agree with.
