Hello everyone

We are thinking of moving abroad one day, maybe to New Zealand or Australia where we already have family.

I went Bankrupt in October 2008 but my wife credit history is fine.

My questions are -

Would my bankruptcy stop us being accepted when applying to a foreign state such as NZ or OZ for residency?

And if we were successful, would my bankruptcy be valid in that country? i.e would I be able to obtain a mortgage etc?

Many thanks
