How does release from bankruptcy happen? I know it takes place after a year....but do you get a letter/phone call, telling you you've been released? Does the Trustee just release you or do you have to remind them its been 12mths?

Thanks for any replies.

Hi Nicole,
From what the Experts have posted in the past I gather that you do not get informed although you would probably get a new I & E form to fill out shortly before AD.
You will need to keep a watch on the online insolvency register for your AD details to show.
Don't forget to make numerous copies of it as you will need them & the notification is only on the register for a period of time. I think it is 3 months. After that you would have to pay for any copies.
I think this is correct, Hoping one of the Experts can confirm this for you.

it is a real anti climax

occasional letter if early discharge

if discharge on the anniversay 1 year, the only change for me was the insolvency web site entry against my name changed to discharged.
