Hiya

I'm a bit confused still over this i&e stuff.

If I go BR and the only income coming into the house is my hubbys wage I understand I have to put down our expenses and say what the household income is but if there is more than £20 left over then surely that leftover is his and not mine??? Am I right?

After all, I don't have any income if I am not working.

Hi,
when you complete the I&E part of the petition, you put what your income is, and that of your hubby's, so that it can be worked out what proportion you pay of the bills etc, the OR is not interested in taking anything from your hubby as he won't be bankrupt.

However, if you have no income then you need to state that on the petition, but are you on benefits? if all of your income is benefits, then no IPA will be claimed.

Thanks Al

I've been stessing over that.

I'm not on benefits but I'm going to look into that. If I was on benefits would I be given an IPA ?

If your income is solely derived from benefits, then the OR will not seek an IPA.
