Hello. I'm 21 years old and have been travelling for the past six months I have returned home with seven thousand pounds worth of debt to four different creditors. I have no assets and live with my parents, I have been looking for a job and have had no success. I need to make payments to my creditors however have no means of doing so. Is bankruptcy an option for me. Regards Charlotte Allen

Hi Charlotte,

You might qualify for the Debt Relief Order. I suggest you make an appointment at the local Citizens Advice Bureau to discuss your situation.

Excellent advice from Viki - a DRO sounds like a very good idea - will cost you £90 and as long as you have no disposable income over £50 you could be ok and it will be over in 12 months.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
