I own a 27% share of a house - this is noted on the deeds. The owner of the balance has just declared themself bankrupt. They are responsible for the mortgage on the property. How am I likely to be affected?

Hi Neil and welcome to the forum.

Not an idea on this one I'm afraid. Hopefully one of the experts can help.

Hi Neil,

It really depends on the person's circumstances, do you know if there is any equity? Do you live there? Does that person live in the property?

Lots of questions, maybe speak to an expert.
