Hi there,

I was declared bankrupt in July 2010. I have an ebay account that was personal account and is now a business account. I am being made redundant in a month and would like to start doing ebay professionally. The OR informed me that I will be out of bankruptct before July 14th this year.

My question is can I run an ebay business whilst still officially bankrupt? I would like to register for tax and run the business properly I just want to make sure that it is possible legally?

Many thanks

glafy

Hi Donna
I personaly wouldn't have thought that this would be a problem as you are, of course, allowed to work when BR. Is there anything in the ebay contract about trading on the site whilst BR?

Maybe one of the experts could advise on this question?

You would obviously have to inform the OR of any income etc?

I don't think there is anything but it's a good point glafy - time to look at the T%C I think!
