Hello,

I wonder if anyone could help me with this please?

I have just been speaking with credit expert about my report and I have found that I still have a financial link with a previous partner with whom we had a shared mortgage back in 1997. In 2002, I was bought out and my ex retained the property solely in their name. I thought this was the end of it as it was all done with solicitors, etc and I received the money for my share. I have now been told by credit expert that I need to complete a disassociation form so that my ex partners name is no longer on my credit report. The thing is I have lost touch with them and it was nearly 10 years ago when I was bought out and I do not know where they live now. Has anyone got any experience of this type of thing. They also informed me that one of my credit cards from Natwest is still showing as 'active' and not settled. I am sure I included this in my bankruptcy SOA, but can anyone tell me that if, for some reason, you forgot to included a debt in your bankruptcy, does that mean it is not automatically included in the bankrupcty and you are still liable for any outstanding debts on these? Since my bankruptcy however, I have not received a single reminder from any of my debts, so I am assuming they were all included and they have just not amended their records. Does that sound viable?

Thanks for any help you can give on this.

Hi Xmas baby

Unfortunately you will need to persevere with the Financial Disassociation form. Put as much information as possible.

All your debts incurred prior to you going bankrupt would have been included (with the usual exceptions of Student Loans, money owing to CSA and fines) whether you disclosed them to the OR or not. It might be a good idea speaking with the NatWest to find out the situation and you can always send them details of your bankruptcy - if they were unaware of your bankruptcy, they may not be aware of your circumstances.

Kind regards

Thank you for your reply, John.

I have completed the disassociation form as far as I was able and sent it to Credit Expert, so I will see what happens next.

I will also speak to Natwest about the account still listed as 'not settled'. All the other NatWest accounts are 'settled', so I'm sure it is an oversight on their part as I have not received a single reminder (or anything) from them since I declared bankruptcy.

Thanks again for your advice.
