I went bankrupt in feb 2011 and am not yet discharged but I have had to file a tax return form to the HMRC, so will I get a tax rebate and if so will this all go to the official reciever?
My tax code hasn't been changed either since going bankrupt so I still pay the amount of tax I have always done. Is all this normal?
Not sure about the rebate - hopefully one of the experts can help on that.
Because you went BR so late in the tax year, this is probably the reason your code didn't change. I don't think you have anything to worry about there.
