Hi all,

I hope you are all doing ok,

I know there are guidelines for the OR to follow/refer to about our allowances, but do these change at all with the retail price index / inflation to reflect the ever increasing cost of living? Do they take into account the rise in VAT to 20% or the fact that bills such as elec and gas are going up by over 15% or that food gets more expensive each time you walk into the supermarket.

I find each time I go to tesco or wherever it just gets more and more expensive and struggle to keep to the pittance of a weekly allowance. Just buying toilet rolls takes up 10% of the budget! It's completely mad.

Just going to the swimming pool with another adult and two children costs £20 these days!

Sorry about the rant!!

Many thanks

E
