Hi all, after being in an iva for the past 12 months DFD have decided they want to put my payments up even though I have my first child due in January. I have no equity in my property and did owe about 37k of debt. Anyway i know im not going to be able to pay any more on my IVA so im thinking of going down the BR road, but not sure what to do next? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Hi Stand pipe

alas this is not uncommon, changes do happen along the IVA route and sometimes changing plan is the correct option.

you will need to speak to your IVA provider and explain your situation, they may have the flexibility to help.

If BR is the new option you will need to get a certificate of failure normally after 3 months of non payment (can be longer before provider officially fails)

get advice about BR from expert and /or forum then take the step that fits in with your situation.

Good Luck Richard,

Hi,

Agree, do speak to DFD in the first instance as they may be able to help.

Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe
