Hello

I recently received a statutory demand. I have now paid some of the money so that the amount I now owe is about £700. Can the person I owe the money to add other items such as interest and solicitors costs to the amount to bring it over the £750 limit?

Thankyou

if you have an agreement to give the money they would rather collect it than take other course of action

if you have other debts may be worth speaking to CCCS or somone in the industry

what you dont want to do is throw good money away chasing bad money

Good Luck Richard,

Hi, I've changed your user name as it's not advisable to have email addresses on the forum as you make get inundated with spam.

Hi j_r

I understand where this is going and it is unlikely that your creditor would do this especially as you are paying them because, as Richard has pointed out, they would far rather receive some funds from you rather than taking any legal action.

All the best
