Hi, firstly I live in Northern Ireland.

I had a car crash last week. (this IS a bankruptcy question). Luckily no-one hurt at the scene, but I drove into the back of a car at 30-35mph, and am expecting a big whiplash claim from a family of 4. And apparently Northern Ireland is more "generous" with their payouts.

I've since been reading my policy, and I've made a slight mistake with the estimated mileage. I'm led to believe that there is therefore a chance they might repudiate my cover over this, meaning they could look to reclaim potentially £150k+ from me (if 4 large claims come in).

If this happened, would the money they tried to reclaim from me be eligible for bankruptcy?

I appreciate the time taken to answer this.

I don't know NI rules, but Mel hopefully will pick up on your post and may be able to help.
