Hi Andrew,

First of all, make sure you've taken advice from an expert to make sure that bankruptcy is the best option for you, as you may qualify for a debt relief order.

Stop paying all of your unsecured creditors and also speak to the court to see if you are eligible for a fee reduction, if you are on certain benefits or low income.

I advise you talk to an expert on here or visit the CAB for further advice.

hi, i am in the same position. CCCS are helping me and are brilliant, the CAB do great work but i find these better. they told me to visit a website called turn2us. they have a list of charities that give grants/funding to cover the charges. as i am a cook i am approaching a charity called hospitality action. you need a cover letter from the organisation who are helping you eg, CAB or in my case CCCS. they have included a list of my creditors and a financial/budget statement to send to the charity, they also recommend a cover letter from yourself explaining the circumstances surrounding your financial situation and how you will avoid it happening in the future. my debts are £32,000 and the bailiff has clamped my car twice, my mum lent me the money to have it released but is unable to pay for the fee. hope this helps and good luck.
