i am in the first stages of bankruptcy and being helped enormously by CCCS. i am waiting for a reply from a charity regarding help with the fee. my home was reposessed in 2008. the outstanding balance was £97000. the property sold for £100,000. however the mortgage company are claiming a shortfall of almost £32,000. any idea where this figure may have come from please.

Possibly legal fees, interest and charges. You could ask them for a breakdown.

if that is the case, including the extra £3000 they made on the sale, that is £35000 in fees and charges??
thank you for your reply, i will definitely be asking for a breakdown.
