Hi Guys,
My Bankruptcy is set to 'end' mid-March and I am subject to an IPA. My car is on it's last legs, what would be RTLUs stance toward my seeking finance for a replacement car? Moreover, what is the likelihood of finding suitable finance; would I be 'allowed' such?
Thanks in advance. |

Hi Sid,
Speak to the OR first, you may be able to get a payment break so you can save and buy a car.
If the OR allows the finance payments, then you could try carloans4u and moneybarn who are recommended on our sister site iva.co.uk

Thanks Viki,
I would like to know would RTLU/OR/MoonBeever 'allow' me to have car finance as part of my living expenses, and take this into account when determing the extent or otherwise of any IPA?
Can anyone advise?

Hi,
You will probably only be able to get a car that is worth no more than £2k so I don't think that moneybarn or Carloans4u would be any good as they require a hefty deposit and the cars are usually late models.
Perhaps make a phone call to the OR that covers your area and ask the question?
