Hi, looking for some advice please, i was declared bankrupt in july 2011, not long done my 6 month review and as my housing benefit changed so my rent increased from 25.00 to 67.00 a wk i sent this letter as proof of payment change. so therefore my disposable income will be less, it is nearly 2 months and i have heard nothing back and my payment is still going out by standing order. im worried as to why i have not heard from them. Also i keep reading about people being disharged after a year, i have to pay until september 2014. will i be held under bankruptcy until this date?

Hi,

Give the office a ring on Monday and chase things up. I'm sure they'll sort something out for you.

Once you get to automatic discharge at the end of twelve months then you come off the Insolvency Register and will just continue to pay your IPA. You BR will stay on your credit record for six years though

Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe
