i have debts from 2003 which upto present some of which i havent been able to make payments too, also i have recently had to go to family court to get custody of my daughter which i cant claim legal aid for i have arrears on rent and council tax etc i havent heard off some off my creditors for a while so dont know if these debts are still live or if they have just given up, i was with a debt management programme for a couple of years, then they advised me to do an iva when i went to the cab they said i dont have anything to protect by having an iva so that failed, my debts are probably around £18k im on low income and have 2 children can anyone offer me any advise as to what would be best for me to do...i.e bankruptcy and if my creditors filed for my bankruptcy would i be informed i dont think some have my current address?
