I am currently making IPA payments which ends next year (yay!). A review is necessary as my income has increased.
For the two years that I've been paying my IPA, my monthly housekeeping has been kept at £480 for a family of four. This seems a little unrealistic now as the cost of things is going up and up and up. Are any of you aware of any expenditure guidelines? The only one I've been able to get hold of is from 2008/2009. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I realise that but equally, I don't want to be extravagant at one extreme or sell myself short at the other. Having some sort of guidance is useful in preparing a realistic income and expenditure statement. Despite my income increasing, this month I am £40 in arrears with my council tax so clearly something is going wrong :(
It is something always recommended on the sister site that you put down what you spend and be prepared to provide proof if necessary but it doesn't hurt to look at the guidelines.
