If you are discharged automatically you dont get anything in writhing the date just passes, youcan check out the insolvency register http://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/
At exactly midnight on the aniversary of the bankruptcy it will tick over brom undischarged to discharged |

Congratulations!!
I'd suggest printing off a copy of your discharge notice just in case you may need it in the future. It's not unknown for creditors to contact you afterwards and at least you have proof to hand.
Do you have an IPA in place?
Ascend may you find no resistance Know that you made such a difference All you leave behind will live to the end The cycle of suffering goes on But memories of you stay strong Someday I too will fly and find you again

An IPA has to be in place before you are discharged.
No, you won't receive anything in the post to confirm that you are discharged. As Niobe says you need to print the extract from the Insolvency Register showing that you are discharged. If you need an actual certificate of discharge you will need to contact the court where you were made BR. There is a fee of around £75 for the certificate

The more I have to do with humans the more I think that the world would be a better place if it was run by animals.
Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side. |

Check just after midnight tonight and you should be off - just remember to print off a copy of the discharge notice in case you need it in future.

Technically not, the bankruptcy order only prevents action being taken by the creditor without leave of the court,it is only when you are discharged that you become debt free. :-) |
