I'm preparing for bankruptcy, and am completing the paperwork, listing how much is owed to who. A number of my debts that were with big names (Natwest RBS etc) have been passed to debt collection agencies such as MidasCreditServices, Shoosmiths, Mercers, Equita etc. Does the debt still lay with the original company for the purposes of paperwork, or do I list the new debt collectors instead?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I would put down the people that own the debt now.

Hopefully one of the experts can confirm or otherwise.

Hi,

You need to list the debt collector, but also state who the original creditor was. You can do this at the end of the SOA, or in the "what was the debt for" bit.
