Yes, i'll keep you updated.
By the way, I have 2 'max recovery' 'defaults' showing on my credit record, i contacted them by phone today and informed them that i was now discharged and the lady told me that they would mark the record as 'satisfied' and update my credit record which should show up on my next 'Noddle' update. |

Hope it does!

I took along my insolvency register discharge print-off to Barclays, which they needed in order to restore my online banking facility, but they wouldnt accept it telling me i needed an official discharge letter from the OR, luckily, the letter sent from my OR arrived this afternoon so off i went again to Barclays armed with my 'official' letter but they again refused to accept it because it didnt have a nice official blue stamp on it!!.....I phoned my OR and he is now sending me another letter which will include an OR office stamp....3rd time lucky i hope!
I admit I never had that problem. I closed my account down about 2 months before my BR ended so I was wiped off the system. I got a current account and on their advice an ISA - it's lovely to start again! |

Barclays are usually pretty good with Bankruptcy.

Agreed
They take the online and phone facilities away but they also seem to just delete stuff after BR discharge. Well was the case for me.
SO nice to be able to buy something and then check the balance right away and it's done. The co-op cashminder I would never have taken had I know it takes so long. I am still waiting for stuff from the 9th of May to go on.
Im going to close my bank account down with them tomorrow. No reason to stay with them. They have lowsy apps where as Barclays have the most amazing Ipad app and it's a joy to use.
I see no point in staying with them. I can get that green tick on my credit file elsewhere |

I still have a full account with Barclays even though they were one of my creditors (not husbands though) and love it.
Every day banking is done through Nationwide which is also excellent.

Hi all,
Just looked at my newly updated 'Noddle' report and I see that the accounts that were previously showing as 'open' and 'default' are now all closed with some now showing as 'satisfied' and some as 'partially satisfied'
I assume that my file is now cleaned up?,
My other query is that some of the closed/satisfied accounts show the date of the account being closed as a week or so after my bankrupcy date, is this ok?, or do i need to have this amended?
Thanks |

As long as the dates are back to your BR then the accounts will drop off at the end of the six years.
I wouldn't worry too much about the extra week, it will make no difference in the overall scheme of things.

Niobe is right, the accounts will drop off 6 years after your BR if the date is correct.
I wouldn't worry too much about the date being a week out to be honest.

I applied online for a Vanquis card on the 18th of this month, on the 19th I received a phone call from them asking me a few questions which concluded with them asking me to send them an original bank statement which I sent off to them the following day (20th), the same day (20th) I received an email from them telling me that my application for a Vanquis card had been declined but that I was eligible for a Cashmax loan!!!, I phoned them and asked why I was asked to send in a bank statement but rejected for a card before they had even received the statement?, the girl I spoke to looked into my file and told me that my application for the card was still active and that I should ignore the 'declined' email that they sent me!!! I have heard nothing since from them, and my bank statement has not yet been returned to me. Are they a cowboy outfit? |

No, I've found them to be really good.
The application process did take a long time though.

I was initially rejected and had to wait 6 months to apply again!
My credit file wasn't sorted though and I'd told them I didn't want to give them my home number as I never answer it, and the guy admitted on the phone that was one of the reasons it got rejected.
Chase it up in a week, but it did take several weeks for mine.
