I am 27,currently under social services care,because I had a head injury 3years ago and have since gettin myself into lots of debt. I have an 8year old son,I am currently on esa but only get 40pounds a week off the social services,I am at home...have my 3bedroom house to keep and currently somebody at social services is paying all of my debts for me...I cannot afford to live

Hi and welcome to the forum.

How much debt are you in? You may be able to do a Debt Relief Order rather than bankruptcy.

Can you give us a few more details please.

Hi Sam,

I suggest you make an appointment with the Citizens Advice Bureau to see what your options are.

As Niobe has asked, how much is your debt?
