I was made bankrupt on 31/03/10 and today I received a letter from the solicitors asking for share of equity of £30k at todays prize for a jointly owned investment property with my husband. Can they do this after 3 years of bankruptcy? And how do I go about it.
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.

They can do this as it's not your family home so they don't need to deal with it in the 3 year timescale.

Can you raise the money? You can get some valuations yourself and give your best offer.
