I have been living under the radar for quite a few years as a result of serious problems in my past .. mental health issues etc. I have run up bills for the tax man and csa. I owe money to various companies. I have moved around a lot and virtually only own what I stand up in. I want to come clean and emerge from under the radar and confront my debts, I have no records of who or what I owe and obviously there is a fear that I will be in serious trouble if I do. how can I re enter society and start to pay off all that I owe.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

As far as the CSA go then you cannot include that in BR but tax can.

Do you get letters from any creditors at all? It might be worth checking the three credit agencies, Call Credit, Experian and Equifax to see what is recorded against your name.

Have you any assets that might be at risk such as a house?

I recommend that you have a chat with an expert. There are a couple who post on here and you can find their details under the experts link on the left hand side of the page or you can go to CAB.

The advice is free.

The friend in my adversity I shall always cherish most. I can better trust those who helped to relieve the gloom of my dark hours than those who are so ready to enjoy with me the sunshine of my prosperity. – Ulysses S. Grant

Hi GN,

Great advice from Niobe.

The credit reference agencies are a great place to start gathering information. If any creditors are missed off your paperwork, they will still be included. Apart from the CSA.

Speak to an expert and start the ball rolling.
