Hi klo and welcome to the forum

Try the Co-op as they seem friendy to insolvent people, or Think banking will definatly take you but their account costs £12.50 each month in a banking fee.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com

Hi Klo and welcome to the forum.

The banks do seem to take it in turns to accept undischarged BR's. I would suggest taking plenty of ID for a day in the high street as someone will give you an account (it is in the Bankers Code that everyone is entitled to a bank account).

Hello,

I went bankrupt in Nov 07, and yesterday I went into Co-op and applied for the Cash Minder account and hey presto i had it within 25 minutes, I just showed them my driving licence and that was it. I will have the card, pin etc in a matter of days.

Definately worth trying them first.

If you can't get to a Co-op branch you can open a Cashminder account on the phone.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.
