My husband and I filed for a bankruptcy petition. It's been heard by the judge today in Belfast and the judge issued the bankruptcy order. My husband works in Europe, he just signed a 1 yr contract. We told the judge that we are planning to move soon. She advised us to get a solicitor to apply for an issue of an outside the jurisdiction order. We have phoned solicitors and it will cost us around 700pounds each. Is there anyway this can be avoided, we declared bankruptcy because we are broke.

Hi and welcome.

I have no idea on this one unfortunately - hopefully Viki will pick up on it and reply.

I'm sorry, I don't know about this either but I'll see if I can find out for you and post back.
