Hi dannyj

If you applied for bankruptcy you would get it based on your level of debt and your lack of income.
Presumably you have no assets that could be taken into your bankruptcy estate.

Hi Danny and welcome to the forum.

I assume you are currently looking for work? If so, £8k of debt really is too low to consider BR. Instead, have you tried negotiating with your creditors or engaged a company to set out a DMP (debt management plan) for you? This could buy you the breathing room you need to get back on your feet without going BR.
