Hi i was just wondering I dont have my credit agreements for my loans anymore as i felt that I did not need them so shredded them ages ago, also my bank statements and credit card statements I dont have them all. Will i need these to show the OR as I have written all the information about the creditors on the form incl all addresses, bals, and also acc numbers so that its easy to find.
Should i try and get the above stuff prior to BK just in case as I could always ask the creditors prior if you think i should have these to show.
I did not destroy intentionally just having a clear out a while ago.
Please advise

Just explain to them what has happened, and if they need to get copies from the relevant banks then they can. Nothing really to worry about here.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com

Hi Jo,

I agree with Melanie. The OR will obtain all relevant documentation directly from the lenders.

Hi one more thing i have received a letter from a debt recovery dept for one of my debts. Where and how do i know list this in the SOA as before i listed as the catalogue address and details, now its another department dealing with it.
Do i just put this company now and not the catalogue name and address and simply keep account number and there ref for the letter as i know that this wont be the first to go the debt recovery before the BK hearing and I need to make sure i list it as it should be.
Thanks
Jo

Hi jo

Don't worry about it, you can let the or know at interview time that debt recovery people have taken over a debt.

Hi

To be honest it won’t make much difference really as the OR will be able to track it back to where it originated anyway. If it makes you feel more at ease you just put the extra details in section 13 marked extra information, and then the OR has it if needed.

Hi Jo,

The OR will write to you after your BR (prior to the interview) and request bank atatements, credit cards etc. I would send the letter in then.
