 what happens to my bank account if I go br?

i hold a bank account with cheques and debit card ...what happen if i declare bankrupt will i be stript from my all these bank facilities or will the bank will be notified to my financila status by the court

Once the order has been made the account will be frozen until the OR decides what to do with funds (if any). If you have dosh in there it might be an idea to withdraw and pay your essential bills direct as opposed to direct debits. In regards to the actual account, it will be at the discretion of the bank whether you get to keep the account or not. If you owe them money then probably not. Might be an idea to contact the Co-Op once you have been granted BR and open an account with them (tell them you are BR and ask for a cash-minder account, will take approx 2-3 weeks).
