I asked a question about life insurance a few days ago and was told that I could buy back the policy from the OR. What about my mother’s life insurance that she pays into NOT ME. If something was to happen to her within my bankruptcy is there any way of protecting that. If the OR had all that money then there would be no money for her funeral, which she as in effect paid for herself.

What is the time limit after bankruptcy that the OR can claim any money from any inheritance received? Is there any way of protecting any inheritance received?

Thank you

Debtrider

Hi Debtrider,

The only way to safe guard this is to make the policy payable to someone else if something where to happen to her.

You'll just have to take extra special care of her for 12 mnths.
