Hi all, was just wondering all of you that have been made bankrupt and got a IPA did it leave you with enough money to live on. For example were you able to go out and have a holiday.

this is worrying me a little as going bankrupt is giving a frsh start but i want to be able to live.

Hi sara
your listed expenditures will total what you need to live on.
You are able to include a monthly sum for a modest holiday / short UK break.
The amount needed to consider yourself "living" is different for every individual.
Some would live with a smile on £20 per month above living expenditure, others may not smile with £500 per month. It's a personal thing, unique to each of us.

Hi Sarah

As John as said you can put a holiday saving within your petition, and what the OR will allow for a holiday differs across the board, some OR's will allow more than others, there doesn't seem to be a set pattern.

As regard for saving for a holiday, i think most of the country will find it difficult saving for them for the next couple of years.
