MY HUSBAND IS GOING BANKRUPT AND I DON'T THINK I AM GOING TO DO YET BUT WILL PROBABLY HAVE TOO LOOK AT IN THE FUTURE. I AM GOING TO STAY ON A DMP OR POSSIBLY AN IVA DEPENDANT ON DISPOSABLE INCOME. ON THE BANKRUPCY FORM WILL MY HUSBAND PUT HIS WAGE DOWN AND MINE LESS MY DEBT REPAYMENTS SHOWING THE REST OF MINE AS CONTRIBUTION TO THE HOUSEHOLD INCOME. WITH REGARDS TO THE JOINT ACCOUNT AM I CORRECT IN THINKING THAT PROVIDED MY HUSBAND TAKES HIS NAME OFF THEN THE ACCOUNT WILL NOT BE CLOSED AS IN EFFECT THE ACCOUNT WILL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM. I INTEND TO KEEP ALL THE DIRECT DEBITS THE SAME WILL MY HUSBAND STILLBE ABLE TO HAVE HIS WAGE PAID IN (IT IS A READY CASH ACCOUNT WITH YORKSHIRE BANK)OR IS IT DEPENDANT ON THE BANKS POLICY.
Hi Jane if husband goes BR and you don't, he enters his net income in the appropriate place, and against the "other contributions" question' you put your net income less IVA / DMP cost less other personal expenses.
