Hi everyone,
I am in the process of completing my BR forms online. I am stuck on step 8. I have no idea what my council house would be considered: freehold or leasehold. Can someone please tell me what it would be?
Thanks so much,
Amanda |

Good morning Amanda,
I am not sure how you go about putting down your council home. I would have thought it would be put down as a different thing as I take it that its still council owned and only rented.
Is this right?
Maybe one of the other experts will know that answer, I can help more with the mortgage side of things but not heard of the council one as of yet.
Sorry I could not help you.

Hi Amanda
I am presuming that you own the ex council house?
Its worth making the phone call but i think that you will find that its freehold, but check nevertheless.

Thanks for the responses.
Ian, I don't own the council house, it rent it from the council. The question is in the section about the property that you rent. |

I would assume that as the council own it then it will be freehold! |
