HAVE A QUESTION
I am going to go bankrupt in around 4 weeks time have been doing debt manegement plan but my bank are not excepting the payments what can they do if I dont file bankruptcy as the payments are bouncing back as they refuse the sum of £102 a month for that debt?secondly when I file bankruptcy my wife has a car in her name worth £4500 she is not filing just me is this effected as I use this to get to work what is 25 miles away each day any advice be good

Hi Ian

if your wife owns the car and she is not going Br then this will not form part of the estate for the official receiver - so will be safe.

If you are filing for br then you need to stop paying any of the creditors and save for the court fees. If you realistically have disposable income and want to do a debt management plan why not get a professional to act for you.

Andrew Graveson at BrightOak offers such a service and is an expert on the IVA.co.uk website

Please take some professional advise before moving forward.
