Hi Andrew,
I had to take 3 copies of the SOA one for me, one for the court and one for the OR. Also the fees and of course YOURSELF!. If your OR is in the same building/place as some on here have found then take any statements, paperwork with you, but to find out if you need to take that extra stuff call the court and just check. Hope i have helped a bit

Mine went in the local paper. I know I'm warped but I cut it out and kept it. If I ever want a credit card again I'll get it out and look at it!

Hi Andrew,
The OR will request 12 months bank/credit card statements from you. Don't be too concerned if you don't have these as the OR can get copies directly from the bank.

Hi Andrew,
The OR usually writes to your landlord in case there were any rent arrears. Check your AST to ensure there isn't a clause regarding BR.

Hi Andrew,
It may be worth getting someone to look at it. AST's are usually pretty standard and the courts will normally only issue an order to get you out if you are in arrears. Best double-check!

Hi Andrew,
In that case, I'm afraid you're going to have to "suck it and see". Ultimately, it's the landlord's decision. It may be an idea(if you get on well) to be up-front about it, so he doesn't panic when he hears from the OR. If he realises his rights aren't affected, he should be fine.
